My name is Oluwatosin. I am the maker behind DNO Soap Studio, and my care journey started very early — frustrated and running out of options to try to resolve my skincare challenges. What I didn't know was that the products I trusted most to clean and refine my skin were doing the opposite, damaging it. Most mass-produced bars are not soap. They are synthetic detergents—surfactants that can strain and strip the skin's already fragile moisture barrier with every wash, creating a cycle of chronic dehydration and side effects that no moisturiser can fully undo.

In 2019, I got the opportunity to take a soapmaker's training and went in totally for the creativity and the discovery of how soap is actually made. That was the experience that opened up a completely different perspective and approach to skin health. DNO became my personal conviction and mission, born from this beautiful craft of care, soapmaking.
November 2019: Sun, stress, and given up on skincare. My skin was constantly fighting something.
December 2019: At its worst, my Skin was inflamed, dehydrated, and reactive. Later this month was my first time ever using artisan soap.
December 2022: A few years into our handmade, glycerin-rich bars only. No complex products or routine. Just the right foundation and time to recover.
March 2026: This is what skin looks like when it is being nourished. Uniquely mine; calm and cared for. Care is so beautiful.
OUR METHOD
Hot Process Saponification
This is a traditional artisanal technique that allows our soap bars to be crafted under controlled heat, with saponification taking place during the making process. For you, that means a thoughtfully made, small-batch bar — rich in naturally occurring glycerin and crafted with our premium blend of skin-loving oils.

Nigerian Palm Kernel Oil
We choose premium palm kernel oil as a defining part of our formulation — rich in lauric acid, Nigerian palm kernel oil gives our bars their characteristic cleansing power and rich, satisfying lather. For you, that means you get to enjoy a bar that cleanses thoroughly while being thoughtfully formulated for skin that needs gentle, considered care.
