My name is Oluwatosin. I am the maker behind DNO Soap Studio, and I started here, in the same place most of you find us — frustrated, and running out of options to try. For years, my skin challenges were a huge problem I couldn't solve. What I didn't know was that the thing I trusted most to clean and reset my skin was the very thing undoing every other care.
Most commercial bars are not soap. They are synthetic detergent — surfactants that strain and strip the skin's already fragile moisture barrier with every wash, creating a cycle of chronic dehydration that no moisturiser can fully undo.

In 2019, I got the opportunity to take a soapmaker's training and went in totally for the creativity and the discovery of how soap is actually made. That was the experience that opened up a completely different perspective and approach to skin health. DNO became a conviction and mission, born from a craft.
November 2019: Sun, stress, and given up on skincare. My skin was constantly fighting something.
December 2019: At its worst, my Skin was inflamed, dehydrated, and reactive. This was my first month using handcrafted soap.
December 2022: A few years into handmade, glycerin-rich bars only. No complex products or routine. Just the right different foundation.
March 2026: This is what skin looks like when it is being nourished. Uniquely mine; calm and cared for. Care is so beautiful.
OUR METHOD
Hot Process Saponification
A traditional artisan technique that preserves full glycerin content — the humectant that draws moisture into skin and holds it there. Mass manufacturers extract this and sell it separately.
OUR STAR INGREDIENT
Nigerian Palm Kernel Oil
Lauric acid-rich and deeply cleansing without stripping. It reinforces the skin's lipid barrier and calms inflammation — sourced from our own backyard.
